LET'S GET STARTED

Please read the Owner's Manual carefully before using your Naväge Nose Cleaner.

Navage is Easy

Step 01

Fill the Upper Tank to the Fill Line with distilled or bottled water.*

Step 02

Place a new SaltPod capsule into the Crushing Chamber, foil-side down. The device will only work with an unused Naväge SaltPod capsule placed in the crushing chamber.

Step 03

Close the lid firmly until you hear it click shut, and don't reopen.

Step 04

Gently swirl the device for a second or two to mix the SaltPod's saline concentrate with the water in the Upper Tank.

WARNING

FOR YOUR SAFETY, ONLY USE THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF WATER:

  • Distilled or sterile bottled water
  • Boiled for 3-5 minutes (then cooled)
  • Microfiltered to 0.2 microns

Do not use tap water unless sterilized by boiling 3-5 minutes.

Step 05

Arrows on the Nasal Dock indicate the direction of flow. Rotating it 180 will change which nostril the rinse enters.

Step 06

Moisten the Nose Pillows with water to make them easier to slip into your nostrils.

Step 07

Set desired suction pressure settings by pressing suction input button (+/- button), cycling between 1-2-3. Start with mode 1 and increase as needed.

Step 08

Position Nose Pillows in nose, locate the Power Button, and press and hold when ready to being nasal rinse flow. When pressed, the pump will start and drain valve will open, causing saline to flow from the Upper Tank into one nostril, around the bank of the nose and out the other nostril into the lower tank.

Note: Immediately after changing the suction level (+/-) the motor will briefly run for 3-5 sec to adjust to the new setting. When the motor stops, the device is set and ready for use.

Naväge Three Key P's

01: POSITIONING

Insert the Nose Pillows into your nostrils and center them. Do not block the pillow tips against the nasal walls. The pillows should be inserted snugly, but not too snug. The flexible pillow stems can be bent to obtain a centered, comfortable fit. Keep the Nose Pillow tips centered and unblocked.

02: PRESSURE

Press the pillows into your nose firmly enough to create a seal. Once the cycle starts, back off a little. This will increase the flow. If you are pressing too hard and one of the pillow tips gets blocked against the nasal wall, then the suction will decrease or stop, and you may get some water down your throat, slow flow, or no flow at all. Wiggling the nose pillows around in your nostrils can also help improve the seal.

Relax. Keep your head level, look forward, stand up straight, and do not bend over. It may help to place the back of your tongue on the roof of your mouth. Breathe normally through your mouth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Attach the Upper Tank and Lower Tank to the Mechanical Module by aligning the notches with the grooves and rotating until each clicks into place. Then attach the Nasal Dock, following the arrows that indicate flow direction. Fill the Upper Tank with distilled or sterile bottled water to the fill line, insert a new SaltPod capsule foil-side down into the Crushing Chamber, and close the lid until it clicks shut.

Start with suction level 1 (Low) and increase to level 2 (Medium) or level 3 (High) as needed using the plus and minus buttons. After changing the setting, the motor will briefly run for 3 to 5 seconds to adjust. Once the motor stops, the device is ready for use.

Only use distilled or sterile bottled water, tap water that has been boiled for 3 to 5 minutes and cooled, or water that has been microfiltered to 0.2 microns. Do not use untreated tap water. Water should be lukewarm and no hotter than 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

A new, unused Naväge SaltPod capsule must be placed foil-side down in the Crushing Chamber with the lid clicked fully shut. If the lid is reopened, the power button will no longer work with that SaltPod even after re-closing the lid. If the screen shows an error indicating no SaltPod is detected, rinse the Crushing Chamber area with hot water for 30 seconds to remove residual salt buildup.

Remove the used SaltPod, empty the Lower Tank, and detach the Upper and Lower Tanks for hand washing or dishwasher cleaning on the top rack. Separate the Nose Pillows, Nasal Dock, and U-Tube from the Nasal Dock and clean with the included Scrubber and liquid soap. Wipe the Mechanical Module's external surfaces with a damp towel, since it is not waterproof and should never be submerged.
